CurePSP-Ask-Expert-BrainDonation-2023

Legacy and Science: Understanding Brain Donation for Neurodegenerative Diseases - July 20, 2023 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Brain donation is key to advancing the understanding, treatments and cure of progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), corticobasal degeneration (CBD) and multiple systems atrophy (MSA). It is an incredibly powerful gift. CurePSP offers a brain donation assistance program, which helps tissue to be studied by scientists all over the world. In this webinar, Dr. Gabor Kovacs, a neuropathologist at the CurePSP Center of Care at the University of Toronto, will shed light on how brain tissue is used to study neurodegenerative diseases. He will be joined by Diane Crompton, whose husband was diagnosed with PSP and who will speak about her personal experience with the brain donation process and what it meant for her husband’s legacy.

This webinar will be moderated by Jessica Shurer, MSW, LCSW, CurePSP’s Director of Clinical Affairs and Advocacy. There will be time at the end for the presenters to answer questions from viewers.

Submit your questions for Dr. Kovacs and Diane via registration or email to events@curepsp.org.

This webinar will be available on the CurePSP YouTube channel after the event. We will email registrants with the link when it’s ready.

Registration is free of charge.
