Adriana Gonzalez, LCSW, will discuss Advance Care Planning & Navigating Future Health Care Decisions during a CurePSP Ask the Expert webinar on Monday, September 7, 2022. The one-hour event begins at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (11:00 a.m. Pacific).
Gonzalez, a palliative care-specialized social worker with the CurePSP Center of Care at the University of California San Diego, will provide information on the types of decisions people with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), corticobasal degeneration (CBD), and multiple system atrophy (MSA) may face in a medical emergency. It also will offer tools to have conversations in advance and document choices.
Any medications referred to during this event should not be tried unless under the supervision of a licensed professional.

About Adriana Gonzalez, LCSW
As the social worker at the Parkinson and other Movement Disorders Center at the University of California, San Diego, Gonzalez and her team work to meet the needs of people living with a movement disorder and their families.
She is a strong advocate for supporting patients in maintaining their quality of life throughout their disease journey from diagnosis to advancing disease.
Gonzalez has developed a Latino outreach program, and she collaborates with support groups and community organizations to provide education about movement disorders including Parkinson's disease, PSP, MSA, and CBD.
She obtained her master’s degree in social work at San Diego State University. She is licensed in the state of California.
