Get Ready for World FTD Awareness Week

World FTD Awareness Week is September 21-27, 2025.
World FTD Awareness Week is just around the corner! This year, the campaign asks a powerful question: “What If It’s FTD?”
The goal is simple but urgent: to raise global awareness of frontotemporal degeneration (FTD) and its unique challenges. Unlike Alzheimer’s disease, which is often associated with memory loss, FTD usually first appears through changes in behavior, personality, and language. It often strikes at a younger age, brings a heavier caregiving burden, and can carry the added impact of genetic transmission within some families.
We are calling on everyone touched by FTD, including those living with FTD, people at risk, caregivers, healthcare professionals, researchers, advocates, and allies, to participate in this year’s campaign. Together, we can shine a light on FTD disorders, spark conversations, and build a stronger global community of support and action.

Together we can find a cure for ftd
The FTD Disorders Registry is a powerful tool in the movement to create therapies and find a cure. Together we can help change the course of the disease and put an end to FTD.
