Webinar: Understanding Anticipatory Grief, with Janet Edmunson: March 17, 2020

“Understanding Anticipatory Grief” will be the topic of a free webinar with Janet Edmunson, M.Ed., on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. The webinar begins at 7 p.m. Eastern, 4 p.m. Pacific.

Caregivers often face grief before their loved one dies. Professionals call this “anticipatory grief.” In this webinar, Janet will share her experiences with anticipatory grief along with ways to help cope with it while continuing to care for your loved one.

While working full-time, Janet was the primary caregiver of her husband, Charles, for five years when he was fighting a degenerative neurological disease. During that time, she helped Charles write his book “Paradoxes of Leadership.” In her book, “Finding Meaning with Charles: Caregiving with Love Through a Degenerative Disease,” Janet discusses how they sought to maintain a positive attitude throughout the duration of his illness.

This webinar is for family and professional caregivers. It will be approximately 30-40 minutes long. In case you cannot attend the webinar live, a recording will be shared with those who register.

Janet serves as president of JME Insights and is a trainer, motivational speaker, consultant, writer, and health promotion professional who is dedicated to using her life experiences and inner values to support the growth and self-esteem of the people her life touches.

She has more than 30 years of experience in the health promotion field. Her speaking experience has included keynotes and workshops for various caregiver and disease-oriented conferences. Janet is the immediate past chair of the Board of Directors for CurePSP.
